From 1st August 2011 control of all Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) car parks will transfer to the University of Edinburgh.
The University of Edinburgh permit year runs from 1st January until 31st December each year.
Between 1st August and 31st December 2011 the day-to-day parking arrangements for ECA staff currently holding a parking permit will not change and all permit holders should continue to park as normal.
From 1st August ECA staff will be required to pay the same amount for parking as University of Edinburgh Staff.
University of Edinburgh charges are £152.00 per year for a parking permit. Therefore the total cost for the remaining months of this permit year, from 1st August until 31st December 2011 will be £63.33.
ECA staff who currently have a permit and wish to continue to use it from 1st August to 31st December 2011 should make payment of this amount by 31st August via the University of Edinburgh Online Payment Store.
If payment is not received by 31st August, it will be assumed that you no longer have a requirement for parking and your permit will be cancelled and access to the car park will be denied.
Current ECA permit holders who no longer have a need for a parking permit after 1st August should return keys, access cards, or fobs to Janitor Bob Cummings who is based within the Main Building.
Any ECA staff who do not currently hold a parking permit who would like to apply may do so by contacting the Transport and Parking Office to request an application form.
Application forms should then be returned to the Transport and Parking Office who will advise whether your application has been successful and the next steps to take.
