Central Area
The location of car parks in the University Central Area and the permit types valid for use in them.
The University’s Central Area encompasses the George Square Area, Old College, Holyrood, The Pleasance and Edinburgh College of Art (ECA).
Only certain types of University permits are valid for use in Central Area car parks. Use of other University permits which are not valid, or failure to display a permit will result in the issuing of a £30 Parking Charge Notice.
Visitors and contractors
Visitors and contractors may park in any Central Area car park using a Scratchcard Permit valid for the Central Area. Contractors may also park in any Central Area car park using a Contractor Central Area Annual Permit.
