Latest News - S4 Course Choice Event a Great Success!
On the 17th of February, the Pathways and Reach team welcomed 68 current S4 pupils onto the University of Edinburgh campus to take part in workshops to help them with choosing the right Highers for their subjects of interest.
The day began with presentations about subject requirements and included a student panel, with current University of Edinburgh students answering pupils' questions.
After lunch at Teviot students' union, the group broke into subject areas and took part in workshops. The Medicine group were hosted by the Royal Medical Society, and got a chance to try some clinical skills. The Architecture group had an introduction to computing programmes used in architectural design. The Law group took part in a debate on Scottish independence and the Vet group had a full tour of the new Dick Vet School at Easter Bush.
The evaluations of the event were really favourable, with one pupil writing: "Keep doing what you're doing! It's amazing and it really makes a difference!"
