These scholarships are available to students from North America accepted for full-time admission to an undergraduate programme.
The University of Edinburgh is offering 5 scholarships for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the University.
The scholarships are worth £5,000 per year and are tenable for the duration of the programme of study, subject to satisfactory progress.
The scholarship will be awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit. Applicants must be US or Canadian citizens who are normally resident in and have completed their secondary education in the USA or Canada.
They must be accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an undergraduate programme of study at the University of Edinburgh. The scholarship is not available to students already on programme.
Applicants should have applied through Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) and been offered and accepted a place at the University of Edinburgh by the scholarship closing date of 2 April 2012.
Veterinary Medicine applicants should have applied through Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) or the Veterinary Medicine Application Service (VMCAS) and been offered and accepted a place at the University of Edinburgh by the scholarship closing date of 2 April 2012.
The scholarship may be terminated at any time if in the opinion of the Selection Committee the scholar has failed to make satisfactory progress or if the scholar withdraws or otherwise ceases to be registered as a full-time student at the University of Edinburgh.
The application deadline for this award has now passed. We can accept no further appliations at this time.
A Selection Committee will meet in April to select the scholarship holders.
The winners of the scholarship will be announced in late April 2012.
