As the University of Edinburgh was successful in its bid for an AHRC Block Grant Partnership (BGP), we are able to give Doctoral Awards in History (2) and Archaeology (1) for September 2013 entry.
Applicants for these awards are required to first have a study application already in process. Successful applicants for nomination are likely to hold a UK first class honours undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent) and/or have demonstrated an equivalent level of performance in a master's degree.
Overseas students are not eligible to apply for these awards.

Successful applicants for nomination are likely to hold a UK first class honours undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant field and have demonstrated an equivalent level of high academic achievement in a master's degree in a relevant field.
The application deadline for this award has now passed. We can accept no further applications for the 2013-2014 academic session.
Following the deadline a funding panel will convene to consider all applications, those the School wishes to nominate will be subjec to approval by a College-level committee.
