Scotland's Saltire Scholarships

The University of Edinburgh will offer a number of Master's scholarships for postgraduate Master's study in any subject offered by the University for the 2012-2013 academic session. Each scholarship will amount to £2,000 and will be tenable for one academic year.

These scholarships are supported and funded by the Scottish Government in partnership with the University of Edinburgh.

Eligibility

The scholarships will be awarded to citizens of Canada, China, India and the USA, and who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate Master's programme of study at the University of Edinburgh. A list of priority subject areas for Scotland's Saltire Scholarships can be found on the TalentScotland website.

Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer by the scholarship closing date.

Applicants should not have completed an undergraduate degree in Scotland.

Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the international equivalent of a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level.
