The School is pleased to invite applications from outstanding candidates for Doctoral Research Scholarships for 2013-2014 entry.

Doctoral Teaching Awards
Each of these two awards will cover:
- Tuition fees for a maximum of three years at the Home/EU rate. Successful non-EU/overseas applicants will be liable for the difference between the Home/EU and Overseas fee rates each year.
- Annual maintenance grant of c.£10,000, payable in equal monthly instalments, for a maximum of three years.
- Annual research allowance of £500, for a maximum of three years.
- As part of the skills training and development which is integral to these awards, award holders will undertake limited tutorial teaching (normally 3 hours face to face teaching per week, plus associated preparation and marking).
The School reserves the right to use this funding flexibly, for example by topping up other scholarships with lesser value funding to the value of this scholarship, or making a contribution to the additional fee expenses of students liable for Overseas fees.
Eligibility
Applicants for these awards must have an application in process.
Successful applicants are likely to hold a UK first class honours undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant field and are likely to have demonstrated an equivalent level of high academic acheivement, or be on course to achieve it, in a masters degree in a relevant field.

The application deadline for this award has now passed. We can accept no further applications for the 2013-2014 academic session.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application as soon as possible after the deadline.
