A bursary is awarded biennially on the basis of class work or the degree examinations to the most distinguished student in the Medieval and Renaissance History 2 class. The award is renewable for one year.
A prize is awarded annually to the best finalist in Medieval History.
A prize is awarded annually for the best essay in Modern British History (in the period from 1780 to the present) by an undergraduate doing a Senior Honours History course in the School of History and Classics.
Two prizes are awarded annually on the basis of class exercises and examinations to the most distinguished student in European History 1, and in Medieval and Renaissance History 2.
Awarded annually to the most deserving student(s) registered at the University of Edinburgh as a candidate for a postgraduate degree in the field of British History (in its widest sense and including activities of the British overseas).
