Prior to starting your studies is the ideal time to contact the Student Disability Service to ensure support for the start of your course.

Equipment loan can be arranged.

A Needs Assessment for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) can be arranged. Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) is extra financial help for UK students.

September

Matriculation (formal enrolment) at the University of Edinburgh.

Semester 1 begins

October

November

Exam arrangement deadline

You must have a Learning Profile in place in order to have exam arrangements e.g. extra time or use of a computer, coloured paper, etc.

December

Exams start in December.

Holidays!

January

New Year.

Start of Semester 2 teaching.

If you had a Needs Assessment in 1st semester, you should have all support in place.

March

Cut-off date for semester 2 exams is near.

Spring vacation starts

April

Exams start.

May

End of exams.

End of semester 2
