Our service is confidential. Our policy is not to inform anyone that you are using the service, or to respond to any enquiry about you, without your permission.
As a professional service Student Counselling keeps confidential records for the students who attend.
In compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998, personal computer details and files can be seen by the person they refer to.
If a student wishes to see their file they should ask their counsellor, giving a week’s notice.
Before initial appointments, students are given our leaflet detailing our Code of Practice on confidentiality, data protection and cancellations. We do not keep notes on any student without receiving written permission from the student to do so.
We welcome feedback from students who use our Service. Evaluation forms are available from counsellors and reception staff.
