Staff participate in many Universitas 21 collaborative groups and projects.
The University supports staff attendance at the annual Universitas 21 Summer School and Research Conferences. Staff who attend these events write a report for the University.
Contact Jamie Tait for more information.
The University is taking part in the Universitas 21 Anniversary Fellowships, which were created to celebrate the network’s tenth anniversary. The University made three awards, with staff and students travelling to undertake research at McGill University, the University of Melbourne and the University of New South Wales.
The University has some limited funds which are available to establish new collaborative activities under the Universitas 21 banner. This could be to attend an initial meeting to set-up a new project. Thereafter, we expect activities to be self financing, perhaps with some financial input from Universitas 21 itself in some cases. Activities for which the University has provided pump-priming include the e-books project and discussions about a research initiative on Shakespeare and heritage culture. Staff interested in this funding should contact Nicola Helliwell with details of the costs and benefits of their initiative.
