Is there funding available to attend an event or start a collaboration at a Universitas 21 Institution?
- this is decided on a case by case basis. Please email Jamie Tait (see key contacts page) with your proposal including a summary of what you intend to do, who with, what it involves, the benefits to the University, and an estimate of the costs involved.

Where can I find further information about Student Conferences/Summer Schools?
Your College Office co-ordinates applications to attend the three annual Student Conferences, usually through your School. Enquiries can also be made to Jamie Tait (see key contacts page).

What funding is available to enable me to attend a student conference/Summer School?
The U21 Manager has a restricted budget from which will be paid the registration fees. There is usually sufficient money to be able to make a contribution towards travel too.
Other places to approach for funding: Your School or College Office, Scholarships and Student Funding Office (Registry), EUSA/Advice Place.
If you are unable to attend the event you will be expected to return the monies paid to you by the University.
What am I responsible for when attending a U21 conference/Summer School?
You are expected to participate appropriately, as befits a sponsored representative of the University of Edinburgh.
You need to arrange your own travel and insurance, check if you require a visa.
You may be required to arrange accommodation.
You should ensure that you can afford the entire trip - meals, travel to the venue and any excursions not included in your registration fee.
