Head of Group
Sarah Smith - Head of the Student and Academic Services Group (SASG) and also the University Secretary. Has overall responsibilities for the central secretariat, planning functions, and various student services.
Sarah was appointed as Secretary to the University Court and Head of SASG with effect from 18 March 2013 and joined Edinburgh from the Scottish Government, where she was Director of Learning and Head of Policy Profession.
Sarah spent a secondment year with the University in 2007 as Associate Vice-Principal and was largely responsible for devising the University’s Internationalisation Strategy.
She is also the University’s Universitas 21 Manager.
