The UKCC Level 1 Award in Coaching Badminton is the first step on the Badmintonscotland Coach Education and Development Pathway. The qualification focuses on both the art and the science of coaching, introducing new coaches to the “How to” skills of coaching as well as helping them to break down and coach the technical and tactical aspects of the game. It will qualify the assistant coach to work alongside a more qualified coach, working with players in their early stages of development.

The Sports Medicine Centre is a validated and endorsed provider of this course. The Sports First Aid course has been designed to: Greatly improve the quality of first aid provided in the sport and exercise environment; Increase awareness of the importance of sports first aid among people involved in sport and exercise; Make sport safer and help prevent serious consequences developing from injuries by ensuring that the injuries are dealt with properly when they first occur.

This Scottish Football Association course is open to anyone working with players in the 12 to 18 year age range. The course comprises a practical session, together with 2 short video presentations, Youth Team Management and Physical Preparation. Applicants must be aged 16 or over.

This 12-hour Scottish Football Association course is designed to provide youth coaches with ideas on the key issues involved in the development of youth players. It takes account of individual skill development in a variety of game related situations. Prospective coaches will be given feedback on teaching practice sessions.

The UKCC Level 1 Course is an assistant coaching award and introduces theoretical areas of coaching and technical elements such as passing, receiving and elimination skills, this course is delivered by the Scottish Hockey Union.
Netball: Tuesday 28th May - 10.00-16.00
Getting Started in Netball Award is the new award JUST released by Netball Scotland for all those interested in starting out in Netball coaching or teaching - in particular those working with children aged 5 to 13yrs. The course centres on the new 5-a-side branch of the game - FUN 5z and skill acquisition through the game rather than simply playing to win
NPLQ: Monday 27th May - Saturday 1st June - 09.00-17.00
The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is widely accepted by swimming pools both in the UK and Ireland. The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) also has full accreditation from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority.
