The Pleasance sports centre has three locations for martial arts and combat training: the Salle, Boxing Base and Grappling Zone.

The Boxing Base is set against panoramic views of Arthur's Seat with in-situ mirrors. It provides the ideal location for people interested in combat training and has the following available:
This area is not a bookable space and should be used for technique training only - there is strictly no sparring allowed.
The Grappling Zone is a compact matted area situated above the free weights gyms and close to the Boxing Base. While ultimately available for those seeking a quiet location to stretch before or after training, it also a great location for wrestling and grappling training.

Centre for Sport and Exercise members may book the Salle for martial arts or dance activities at a cost of £14.00 for a 60 minute session.
Pricing for group one-off or block bookings may be available upon request from the Client Services Team.

The Salle, Boxing Base and Grappling Zone can only be accessed by stairs at this time. There is, however, a fully accessible stretch area on the ground floor in Gym X-press.
