Peffermill playing fields
The University of Edinburgh's Peffermill playing fields boasts some of the finest sports facilities in Scotland.
Located only two and a half miles from the city centre and incorporating the National Hockey Academy, this magnificent 2.7 hectare site offers a hugely impressive array of training and competition facilities for everyone to enjoy.
Our facilities
Peffermill comprises:
- Two floodlit water-based artificial pitches (internationally accredited).
- Over a dozen grass pitches for football, rugby and lacrosse.
- Cricket and tennis provision.
- A 100 metre synthetic training track.
- Changing facilities in three pavilions.
- Laurie Liddell Clubhouse providing meeting and catering facilities.
- On-site parking for 160 cars and six coaches.
The facilities at Peffermill are open to all, from the casual user to the international athlete with users from a variety of sectors including the University community, local clubs, corporate organisations, schools and national governing bodies of sport.
