Scottish Running Clinic launch
We are delighted to announce the launch of the Scottish Running Clinic at FASIC.
Founded by FASIC in association with Scottish international ultra-runner, GP and sports medicine specialist Dr Andrew Murray the Scottish Running Clinic will provide a one-stop-shop for runners, of all abilities, looking to prevent and treat injures to allow them to be the best they can.
Officially opening on Monday 20 October by Olympic and 5 time World Champion runner John Ngugi, at a special “Being Your Best Event” hosted by Dr Murray, the Scottish Running Clinic offers something to runners of all abilities, whether it is help making those first steps to fitness from the couch, or competing internationally.
Made possible by the experience of FASIC staff who work with amateur and athletes right up to Olympic Champions, the clinic will offer access to expert coaches, sports medicine doctors, physiotherapists, sports massage, podiatrists who will be able to assess, diagnose, and treat any running related problems as well as helping with training and rehabilitation programmes.
The clinic will take place every Friday afternoon at FASIC at the Central Sport and Exercise Pleasance building, booked by contacting the FASIC team.
Tickets are also available for the “Being Your Best” event at the Anatomy Lecture Theatre at the University of Edinburgh which takes place between 18.30 and 20.30 on Monday 20 October 2014.
