The Pleasance building is open again following last nights' enforced closure due to adverse weather.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the enforced closure of the Pleasance facilities on Wednesday 4 July 2012 due to adverse weather.
A join in the pipework above the Concourse split under significant pressure as a result of last night's torrential rain at about 18.30. Water from the roof above spilled down like a waterfall and flooded the whole concourse to about an inch or so of water in a matter of minutes.
To ensure the safety of our members we took the decision to close. We thank everyone who was in the building for their prompt evacuation. This morning our Estates colleagues are helping with the plumbing and electrical repair works.
All activity bookings affected will be refunded or re-booked by our Reception team. Please note, however, that there will be no squash availability until at least 12 noon on Thursday 5 July, 2012.
