RYA Windsurfing

This four day RYA course is suitable for complete beginners through to advanced performers (using planing techniques). The emphasis is on "time on the water" underpinned by on shore simulators and lectures. All equipment and full rescue cover is provided.

RYA Sailing

If you are new to sailing or have previous experience, these four days will allow you to progress and gain new experience and competencies in a friendly safe and relaxed environment. We have a large range of sailing boats to use: Single handers (Laser and Topaz); 2-4 person dinghy's (Wayfarer/Lazer Stratos/Lazer 2000/Sport 16, some with trapeze and spinnaker); Dart 16 Catamarans and a Hawk 20 day boat.

Dependant on the weather and groups wishes/aims some of the following RYA certificates maybe achievable: Start Sailing; Basic Skills; Better Sailing; Day Sailing; Seamanship Skills and Sailing with Spinnakers.

River Kayaking

An introduction to river kayaking, starting on the loch and moving on to local rivers according to water levels and the experience of the group. Some paddling experience would be an asset but an enthusiastic beginner would manage.

Sea Kayaking

An introduction to sea kayaking skills, paddling techniques, together with an element of journeying. You will spend two days on the west coast with one night camping. If the weather looks promising you will have the option for a second night away from Firbush. The majority of participants will be fairly new to Sea Kayaking - so the course will initially be pitched at a basic level. However, if your technical paddling is more advanced then we will provide specific individualised coaching.
