Guidance on which Highers or A levels are generally accepted by the University for entry to its degree programmes.
You can find minimum entry requirements for degree programmes listed by subject on the Degree finder:

- Engineering and Electronics
- Environmental and Ecological Sciences
- Geography
- Earth Sciences (Geology and Geophysics)
- Mathematics
- Physics and Astronomy
Our minimum entry grades have been set at a level to encourage applications from a wide range of backgrounds, whilst meeting our academic requirements.
Approved subjects for entry
The Degree finder lists subjects which are generally accepted by the University for entry to its degree programmes.
However, not all of the subjects listed may necessarily be accepted for entry to particular degree programmes.
