We operate two programmes in S1-2 schools throughout Scotland.
The SCI-FUN Scottish Science and Technology Roadshow takes two science shows (one research-based), a subject choice presentation and over forty hands-on exhibits to S1-2 pupils in schools throughout Scotland.
The over-arching objective of SCI-FUN is to encourage more young people to consider STEM-based careers in the future. This is done in conjuction with the school curriculum.
FUSION (Focusing on University Science Interpretation and Outreach Needs) is a new University science outreach group working alongside the SCI-FUN Roadshow.
Its task is to form collaborative links with research groups across the College of Science and Engineering, supporting the University's public engagement objectives.
Many FUSION projects lead directly to exhibits and activities that can become part of the SCI-FUN Roadshow.
