Mathematics
The School of Mathematics provides education and resources for local teachers and students.
The dchool works with local teachers to provide revision sessions for both Higher and Advanced Higher pupils, with over 100 attending in each case.
Core Year One courses are available in Continuing Professional Development versions for teachers to take via distance-learning. The School of Mathematics will be meeting with local Principal Teachers of Maths to discuss this later this year.
Maths is also a local Hub for the FunMaths Roadshow and loans materials to schools. In addition, the dchool will undertake maths visits to schools on request.
Masterclasses for local S2 students are coordinated by the School of Mathematics and staff also lead some of the sessions.
Our staff are also involved with the Scottish Maths Council.
