Chemistry
The School of Chemistry has an extensive programme of outreach activities.
These include visits to schools and science festivals with chemistry demonstration lectures, hands-on workshops and careers talks.
Other activities include pupil visits to School of Chemistry for Advanced Higher project support, Higher chemistry support and the LEAPS Summer School.
The School of Chemistry has also hosted several externally funded pubic engagement projects which now provide resources for schools through their Chemical Connection and Renewable Energy Roadshow websites.
Currently projects include ‘Superbugs: a challenge for 21st century scientists' and 'The Big Squeeze: science in extreme conditions'.
