Who is responsible for the induction of new staff?
The Head of School or Support Service has overall responsibility for the induction of all new staff within their School or service area.
The line manager is responsible for the actual induction of their own new members of staff. A number of other staff will also be involved.
Purpose of induction
An effective induction ensures that new staff can quickly learn the University’s policies, processes and practices.
