Science for a Summer's Evening
The College of Science and Engineering at the University of Edinburgh is pleased to present a delightful programme of science for a summer's evening. Aubrey Manning, Emeritus Professor of Natural History, will chair two of the College's annual public lectures. The lectures are named in honour of Charles Darwin and James Clerk Maxwell, Edinburgh alumni from another era, whose work is still inspiring research carried out at the University today.

| 6.00 - 6.45 pm | Interval with refreshments, music and a display of magic lantern slides from the Ashworth Natural History Collection |
| 6.45 - 7.45 pm | James Clerk Maxwell Lecture by Professor Ron Pethig, School of Engineering |
| 7.45 - 8.15 pm | Further opportunity to view the displays and enjoy the music |
