European Baccalaureate INCLUDE PART

General requirements

The minimum entry requirements for the College of Science and Engineering are the award of European Baccalaureate at 75% or above overall, with a minimum of 7.5 in three written subjects including all required subjects as stated in our prospectus.

The typical offer is likely to be the award of the European Baccalaureate at 80% overall with 8.0 in three writeen subjects including all required subjects as stated in our prospectus.

Eight is required where we ask for grade A at Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) Higher/GCE A level.

Where Maths is required, this must be the five-period option.

In addition all applicants are required to demonstrate proficiency in English language, holding one of the accepted qualifications or a score of minimum six at Year Seven (or minimum 7.5 at Year Six) in English Language in the EB.

Advanced entry direct into Year Two of many of our degree programmes is possible for applicants who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement in the EB. Please contact our admissions office for details.

The final decision to offer you a place will be taken with reference to the whole UCAS application, including academic grades, personal statement and academic reference.
