The documentation available to Graduates varies depending on the degree held and the date of graduation. We will send you the appropriate version of your academic transcript or academic statement.
Current students should check the information on Table B below.
Your documents may be posted from Academic Registry up to 10 working days from the date of order.
All orders are handled on a first-come, first served, basis.
Please note that we can only process orders for which payment is also received. Orders made without payment will be cancelled.
Transcripts provide information about your studies while at the University. Table A explains the information provided on each type of document. To place an order, follow the link to information on Ordering & Payment Options
| Transcripts £5 per copy | Statements £4 per copy |
|---|---|
| A Transcript provides details of degree examinations passed, and, for certain categories of student, the grade and mark awarded. | A Statement simply states the degree passed, year of graduation and class of Honours (if applicable). |
| Before ordering, please check Table B below which confirms Transcript information Registry is unable to provide and who to contact if we do not hold the information. | A statement cannot be issued in advance of a degree being awarded at a graduation ceremony. |
If you want your order sent to more than one recipient you must place a new order for each postal address. For example, if you want 4 transcripts to go to one address, place one order. If you want 4 transcripts sent to 4 different addresses you must place 4 separate orders.
| Current Students | Registry can issue an interim transcript at any point during your programme. This will simply reflect the courses you have passed at the time at which the document is printed. You may check your student record via MyEd (link below) |
|---|---|
| Research Postgraduates | Registry can only issue an Academic Statement ( see Table A). Contact the School or College Office for more detailed information. |

| Undergraduates with a graduation date between 1988 and 2005 | Registry can provide results for sub-honours courses. Honours courses are listed on the Transcript along with the final Honours classification, but no individual results are recorded. Contact the School or College Office for more detailed information. |
| Undergraduates graduating prior to October 1988 | Registry can provide a transcript, however, prior to 1988 marks were not released, so course results will not be included. Prior to 1984 the University did not operate a common-marking scheme so examination grades are not available on transcripts. An explanation of the University's marking schemes is provided on the reverse of the Transcript. |
| Visiting Undergraduate or Non-graduating students | If Academic Registry does not hold the information you require, we will pass your request to the appropriate College Office and email you to confirm that we have done this. |
