Audience and scope
Follow this guidance if you have:
- received a subject access request from someone with whom your department has had contact
- received a request from the Records Management Section asking you to search your records for information about an individual who has made a subject access request
Purpose
This guidance sets out the background to subject access requests and explains how to carry out the search and screening.
Once we have received a subject access request we have a statutory deadline for providing the requested information, so please process this request quickly.
