Overview
Research into schizophrenia and disorders with similar features, especially bipolar disorder and autism, is carried out in collaboration with many basic and clinical collaborators in Edinburgh and beyond.
The principal, overlapping themes of investigation pursued are:
- clinical research, including longitudinal high risk studies and trials of novel therapeutic interventions
- the genetic basis of schizophrenia and other neurodevelopmental disorders
- the examination of brain structure and function associated with schizophrenia
