We expect a very strong UK-wide field to apply for these posts. Candidates will be appointed in open competition, with success dependent upon evidence of academic distinction and potential.
Typically, fellows will come from CT3/ST4 grade, with the MRCPsych and holding an NTN, and have a strong research background (intercalated BSc and a proven track record of clinical academic activity during core training in psychiatry).
We realise that some promising candidates will not necessarily have the exam, an NTN and research experience, particularly as we advertise and recruit early in the academic year. We would therefore encourage candidates who expect to gain these in 2012-2013 to apply.
Candidates who still need to gain research experience may be eligible for our four year MRF/MRC Fellowships.
Applications for 2013 entry close on Friday 17 May 2013.
For more information or to apply now, contact PsySTAR director Stephen Lawrie. Interviews will be held on Thursday 30 May 2013.

We welcome applicants from across the UK. Our central goal depends on simply selecting the most promising candidates, and matching them with the project and supervisors most suitable for their aptitudes and interests.
We foresee no difficulties with Inter-Deanery Transfers.
