PsySTAR is a new initiative funded by the Medical Research Foundation (MRF) and the Medical Research Council (MRC) to dramatically transform and improve mental health clinical research training in the UK.
Nine PhD programmes are being offered over the next seven years, across the universities of Edinburgh, Dundee, Glasgow, Aberdeen. Three of these will start in September 2012.

PsySTAR trainee posts are fully funded. Additional funding may be available to supplement costs.
PsySTAR works with a number of partners to engage and inform the public.
