We have a world-class reputation in both clinical and basic neuroscience research and an excellent track record in mentoring and nurturing aspiring academics from PhD through to professorial level.
PhD research opportunities
Our opportunities include:
- PsySTAR - the innovative new programme funded by the MRC/MRF
- Annual competitions organised by the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences (CCBS)
- Neuroscience training through the Doctoral Training Centre in Neuroinformatics and Computational Neuroscience (DTC)
- Clinical Neuroscience research training fellowships, through the Edinburgh Clinical Academic Training (ECAT) scheme
- Translational Medicine clinical research training fellowships, through the STMTI
Fellowships
We also have an extremely good record in securing Wellcome / MRC Clinical Research Training Fellows, Intermediate and Senior Fellowships, as well as funding from the Health Foundation, Cancer Research UK, and Chief Scientist's Office.
