Sustainability Risk Matrix
All of the University's procurement activities are analysed into categories of like goods and services (a 'commodity'). Each commodity has been assessed by procurement teams for pertinent social responsibility and sustainability (SRS) risks.
Commodities are assessed for SRS risk across 6 main headings:
- Equality
- Environmental/Sustainable
- WEEE/Disposal
- Social Issues
- Reputation
- Health and Safety
- Bribery Act
This is done by means of a risk matrix based on the APUC model which is totalled to give the commodity an overall SRS risk score.
We have further developed this to create a prioritisation for applying the Marrakech model. This is demonstrated in the detailed tabs on the Risk Matrix Spreadsheet.
In our acquisition plans, commodity procurement strategies and tender plans, we will consider the higher SRS risk impacts.
