Clinicians looking to develop an academic career through the Edinburgh Clinical Academic Track (ECAT) scheme can undertake training at the Division of Pathway Medicine (DPM).
The Edinburgh ECAT scheme provides a unique approach to deliver ‘run-through’ training for academic clinicians from entry to specialty or subspecialty training to CCT.
After general professional training, applicants will compete for appointment to a single career post.
This programme is suitable for clinicians from any discipline who want to pursue a career in academic medicine, and who already hold a specialty training position in the UK, but have yet to undertake a period of full-time research leading to a postgraduate degree.
Feel free to contact us directly, or visit the ECAT website for more information.
