Medical electives
We offer the opportunity for students from medical schools all over the world to undertake elective attachments within the University of Edinburgh medical school.
Electives are for a maximum period of four weeks of study.
Fees
Visiting students are not charged tuition fees but must be able to afford their own living expenses.
There is an administration fee of £100.
Applying
Applications should be made at least six to eight months prior to the elective date, and for some specialities, even earlier.
The application form includes details of deadlines and other requirements.
Receipt of application form does not guarantee an offer of attachment.
Places are offered on first come first served basis.
