Our two buildings along with the Royal Infirmary provide both an ideal learning environment for medical students and world class research facilities.
The Chancellor's Building is our Medical School and main undergraduate teaching and learning centre.
The Institute provides facilities for high quality interdisciplinary research.
The 900 bed Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh opened in 2003 and is the principal acute hospital for medical teaching. The University has 90 "embedded" academic offices in the Royal Infirmary, maintaining the long-established principle of integration of clinical and academic staff.
