Overview
The LLC Research Web page provides one-stop access on information for researchers. Both external and LLC-funded research funding is available for staff.
The School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures is organised into the following five Subject Areas/Divisions: Asian Studies; Celtic & Scottish Studies; Division of European Languages and Cultures; English Literature; Islamic & Middle Eastern Studies. Many of these areas are in turn divided into a range of disciplines and all five areas are represented on the LLC Research Committee chaired by the School’s Director of Research, Dr Andrew Newman.

LLC has produced a Research Handbook, which contains a great deal of information on both internal and external funding procedures and School policies.

The Web page provides access to Edinburgh Research and Innovation, a database of research support with a portal to opportunities in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Joint Electronic Submission System
All Research Council UK applications are submitted through the Joint electronic Submission System (Je-S). Access is available through this site.
LLC-Funded Research
LLC Research Committee
The School Research Committee allocates funds for research activities and grants Academic Leave of Absence.
