The purpose of this committee is to promote and coordinate quality assurance and enhancement of teaching and learning within the School.
Annual quality reporting is carried out primarily for the benefit of the School in order to support the continuous enhancement of teaching provision. An annual Quality Assurance and Enhancement (QAE) report is submitted to College and Senate on behalf of the Literatures, Languages and Cultures QAE Committee.
Membership is made up of the Chair and representatives from the LLC subject areas.
In line with the University's Teaching Quality Handbook, the School QAE Committee meets annually late in the first teaching Semester (November/December). Its purpose is to monitor and enhance the quality of teaching in the School by:

At the Committee meeting each subject area is reviewed by the representative of another subject area. These reviews form the basis of LLC's annual QAE report to the College QAE Committee.
