Principal's Career Development PhD Scholarship - Film Studies

The School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures are pleased to announce that they have a Principal's Career Development PhD Scholarship to award for a student working in any area of Film Studies. For further details of this scheme and how to apply, see the link below.

The area of focus for Career Development will be Teaching, and applicants should explain what elements of their background and experience to date will enable them to contribute to teaching in Film Studies. The application deadline has been extended from 1 to 3 February 2012.

2012 AHRC awards in the School of LLC

This year the school will have awards for PhD in the following subjects: English Literature, German, Russian and Film Studies. Awards are normally for three years but students who have already started their PhD may apply for awards for the remaining one or two years of their study. The closing date for applications is 15th February 2012.

These awards cover tuition fees for a maximum of three years’ tuition fees at the Home/EU rate, as well as an annual maintenance stipend of about £13,300, payable in equal monthly instalments, for a maximum of three years.

Applicants must have applied and been accepted for study and must complete a separate application form. AHRC awards are for home/UK students. European Union students may apply to this funding body for fees only. Overseas students are not eligible to apply for these awards. Further information on student eligibility is below.

2012 Edinburgh Santander Scholarships

Masters Scholarships are being offered by Santander for applicants from eligible countries. The closing date is 2nd April 2012.

Sadly there are no Research Scholarships being offered by Santander for 2012/2013.
