We offer two MSc programmes and a PhD in Translation Studies.
Please note that in Scottish universities all masters programmes are referred to as MSc, as MA refers to the 4-year undergraduate degree.
MSc/Dip in Translation Studies
This programme enhances practical skills in translation and provides an intellectual and philosophical perspective on the activity of translation.
MSc/Dip in Literary Translation as Creative Practice
Introduced in 2011/2012, this programme links the activity of literary translation to the notion of creative practice, by emphasizing the originality, inspiration and resourcefulness that go into high-quality literary translations.
PhD in Translation Studies
The PhD in Translation Studies gives you the opportunity of pursuing a research-led PhD or completing a thesis which is an extended scholarly translation with commentary.
