Overview
The MSc by Research programmes provide research training and may include some coursework for students who want to complete a one-year masters programme in an area of their own interest.
Subject areas
MSc by Research programmes are available under the five main subject areas, plus a number of cross-disciplinary degrees:
Celtic and Scottish Studies
The subject area offers two Masters by Research degrees - Celtic Studies and Scottish Ethnology.
European Languages and Cultures
European Languages and Cultures offer a selection of MSc by Research degree programmes.
Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies
The one-year MSc by Research programme is a flexible degree tailored to the student's own interests.
Graduate School (cross-disciplinary programmes)
The Graduate School offer a selection of cross-disciplinary MSc by Research degrees.
