To discuss a research topic, please contact Dr Daniel Yacavone or one of the other members of staff according to you main centre of interest.
You may wish to look at the staff list which includes information on a selection of members of staff who can act as supervisors.
In addition, and for students working on trans-disciplinary subjects in particular, supervision will be available from other departments and colleges at the University of Edinburgh.
You will then be encouraged to send a research proposal in advance of applying for a place: the proposal will be assessed by the programme director who will discuss it with you informally as well as with those members of staff interested in your area of proposed research.
You can contact the Graduate School office for guidelines on how to structure and present your proposal.
