Universities International Summer School

Founded by Professor David Daiches in 1947, the Scottish Universities' International Summer School (SUISS) runs courses in British literature, history and culture for undergraduates, postgraduates and teachers from all over the world.

The School presents a course of study of twentieth-century literature, which seeks to understand British, Scottish and Irish culture against the background of the enormous social and political change of the twentieth century, as well as a Creative Writing course, run in co-operation with Edinburgh's International Book Festival.

In the past we have welcomed applications from students from 25 different countries.
