Support for students working on a PhD programme is an important part of the academic environment in the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures (LLC).

Request annual leave

PhD students are entitled to eight weeks vacation time in a year, which must be booked in advance with agreement from your supervisor.

There is no need to apply for an Authorised Interruption of Study (AIS) when taking annual leave.

Please note that you will not be engaged with your studies and no extra time will be added to your record when you take leave.
