This project is about producing a scholarly edition of a recently-discovered account of Ben Jonson’s epic walk between London and Edinburgh in the summer of 1618.
About the project
This account is a treasure trove of detail not only for students of Jonson but also for anyone with an interest in the cultural history of early Stuart Britain.
Project outcomes
The main aim of the project is to produce an accessible text of the ‘foot voyage’ account found among the Aldersey papers.
