What you need
To study online, you need a computer with internet access, but you don’t need the very latest and fastest technology.
Any PC or Mac from the past three to five years should be able to run the core software required. You need to have:
- Windows XP or later or any version of Mac OS X
- reliable internet access (high-speed broadband strongly recommended)
- an up-to-date web browser (such as Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer or Safari) with standard plug-ins (Flash, Java, Quicktime)
- a PDF reader (Adobe Acrobat Reader or Mac OS X Preview)
- a word processor (such as Microsoft Word)
- a webcam
- a set of headphones with a microphone
Learning environment
The programme is delivered through virtual learning environment Moodle.
You learn how to use Moodle and are given time to familiarise yourself with it during the virtual summer school.
