Semester 2

The second half of this year’s Research Methods training course (semester two) is made up of a series of workshops that explore key aspects of and skills associated with research in English Literature.

The primary aim to use these sessions to make sure students have the specific skills they will need to complete this year’s work (to finish an MScR dissertation, or to prepare the chapter and supporting material for a first-year review of the PhD).

In addition to this, sessions are dedicated to broader questions of how to communicate your work to peers at conferences or through formal publication, which are essential practices for those wanting to pursue a career in academia.

Attendance at all workshops is compulsory (the one exception to this being the first listed in the schedule below).
