Overview

A PhD is the highest postgraduate degree awarded by the University. We have a very large and vibrant community of students engaged in PhD study.

The Department of English Literature has a large and vibrant community of students engaged in PhD study.

The PhD in Creative Writing provides the capstone to the MSc in Creative Writing at Edinburgh.

We have a large and diverse body of PhD students. Profiles for some of them are listed here.

Separate Research Methods and Skills courses are run in each semester.
