In your fourth year you will take a set of core Russian language courses and a set of options courses. Depending on your degree combination you will normally also be required to write a dissertation.
Single honours students are required to study FOUR options in Russian Studies and write a dissertation. Students of combined degrees which involve Russian Studies are required to take ONE or TWO options from Russian Studies, depending on their degree programmes.
Below is a sample of the type of honours options courses on offer. Please note that these vary year on year so no course is guaranteed to be available in any particular year. Please note also that due to timetable clashes not all options are available for all degree combinations.
The dissertation in Russian Studies should be of 6000 words and written in Russian. A dissertation can either be freestanding or be connected with an option taught in the section.
