Hispanic Studies at Edinburgh offers supervision in the major areas of Spanish, Spanish-American and Portuguese literary and cultural studies.
Edinburgh has particular strengths in research into the 19th century, theatre of all periods, and the visual arts. Where students have interests in more than one culture, joint supervision is also possible with the other languages available within the Graduate School.
Candidates for admission will be expected to have a very good or good first degree in a relevant subject.
